Get the official Tailscale app from your app store — iPhone or Android, either works.
Open the app. Don't tap the main "Log in" / "Connect" button. Instead, tap the small account icon in the top right (a plain silhouette), then tap Log in. On the next screen, tap the ⋮ three-dot menu in the top right and choose Use custom coordination server.
